WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

This episode of Jesus Stories takes us into some deep theological territory. Jesus will heal a man on the Sabbath and then be taken to task for such an action by the religious leaders of the day. So, Jesus takes the time to explain exactly who he is and by what authority he is able to do such a thing. Such authority, he says, comes from His Father – a blasphemous statement to these religious leaders. But Jesus doesn’t back down. We learn much about Jesus in this episode.

What Happens In This Episode?

We meet a woman who was well ahead of her time. She was extremely well educated in a time when women were not offered an education. She was a powerful force for change in a society in a time when women were not considered to be important members of society. She was a friend to those who were of the elite class as well as those who were in the lower classes. She was famous as a writer of books of instruction, plays, and pamphlets. And she challenged society to follow Jesus when society would rather not! Listen to find out who this woman is!
