  • The disciples use this meeting to ask a theological question
  • Jesus uses this meeting to heal the man
  • Some of the man’s friends and family don’t believe that it is the same man. Others believe the healing
  • The Pharisees question the man – not just once, but three times
  • The Pharisees question the man’s parents
  • Jesus goes back to the man and reveals himself to him. The man believes
  • Jesus teaches: I am the gatekeeper to the sheep

Jesus challenges them with his words and reveals who he is, where he has come from, and from where he has received his authority. That doesn’t set well with the teachers and Pharisees.
