WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

From the beginning of time, Jehovah God has set an ideal for families. In this Jesus Stories episode, we begin by talking about this ideal. Then our guest speaker, Al Robinson, will take us into the current time and using the example of King David (or the non-example, if you will) share with us some principles we can put into practice to improve our family relationships. This is a vitally important discussion for Jesus Stories.

What Happens in this Episode?

This Jesus Stories episode allows the scriptures to tell the story of the birth of Jesus. While I connect each reading with a short commentary, the scriptures speak the story for themselves. At the end we draw some conclusions about how Jesus has affected the entire world and ask, Has he affected yours?

WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

It’s a story that starts at the beginning of time. In this episode of Jesus Stories, we tell the entire story of Christmas. What happened in the beginning which created the need for Jesus to come to earth? How did that happen? (Yes, the familiar story you’ve heard all your life, maybe!) What does it mean for you and me today? How does Jesus brings us new life, reconciliation, and salvation? Without this coming we would still be looking for those life-giving attributes.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

This Jesus Stories episode dives deep into Jesus second “I am” statement: “I AM the light of the world.” What does that mean? Where does that come from? What does it mean for us? How should it affect our lives? And how does Thanksgiving play into this statement? There’s a lot to think about in this episode.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

In this Jesus Stories episode, Jesus tells his listeners of his identity.  However, the Pharisees and other Jews spend more time arguing than listening. Jesus challenges them with his words and reveals who he is, where he has come from, and from where he has received his authority. That doesn’t set well with the teachers and Pharisees. Although, some others believe.  I break down this teaching to help you understand this interchange.

What happens in this episode?

Jesus has made a startling statement in the middle of a joyous Jewish festival. “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” But what does this mean? We dig into this declaration and break it down for you.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS EPISODE?

In this Jesus Stories we continue pausing to review and explain some important teaching which Jesus offers to his followers. We look again at faith. But this is faith that might falter. We talk about leadership – specifically “servant leadership.” Then we look at conflict. How does he ask us to handle some tough situations? Jesus offers some very practical advise.
