What Happens in this Episode?

We conclude our narrative of the Sermon on the Mount in this Jesus Stories episode. Jesus starts by getting into our wallets and our stuff. “Don’t store up treasures here on earth…” He tells us not to worry since Jehovah God will take care of his followers. He reminds us that judgment of others brings judgment back upon us. We can only judge with the guidance of Jehovah God. Then he points out the choices that we must make. Which road will we travel? Which voices will we listen to? On what foundation will we build our lives?

What Happens In This Episode?

What happens when a man chooses to obey Jehovah God rather than man? What if the edict comes from a dictator who is trying to remain neutral in World War II against the Nazi onslaught of Europe? What if the edict means that thousands of people will be subjected to the persecution of life under Nazi rule? Today’s story tells the story – a largely untold and unknown story – of a man who made the choice. In this Jesus Story, we’ll hear how one man risked everything and lost everything.
